Did you know....

In the mid to late nineties, the teenage conception rate for females aged under 16 in Wales was above that for England. However, the conception rate for under 16 year olds in Flintshire is below the average for Wales: 6.6 per 1,000 females aged 13 to 15 years compared with 8.0 per 1,000 across Wales.

North Wales C-card Scheme

The C Card Scheme is a condom distribution scheme for young people aged 13- 25 which offers young people access to free condoms in a wide range of places that are acceptable to them.
Flintshire has various points throughout the County that young people can either register with or pick up their free condoms from. Registration involves a full consultation / induction with a C Card trained worker who will talk you through a condom demonstration, along with discussion around sexual health and safer sex practices. Workers can give young people information about other services.

Body Positive Cheshire & North Wales Floating Support Project

The project provides housing related support to assist people living with HIV in maintaining independent living. The support provided aims to help prevent problems that might lead to tenancy breakdown and homelessness. Body Positive's supporting people service is intended for people living with HIV and will focus on people living in North Wales (Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire & Wrexham).
